What will you be doing?

  • You are an advocate of high-quality engineering
  • Drive innovation through strategic prioritisation and technical subject matter expertise.
  • Refine, setup and implement low level design assurance on integration designs based on industry and standards driven best practices
  • Create transparent guidelines for assurance of integration design and work with all suppliers for using these controls to provide effective governance
  • Work with Business Analysts, understand the project/program business requirements
  • Understand high level designs and work with Enterprise Architecture Team
  • Review requirements and change requests to ensure that the integration design is fit for purpose with traceability matrices
  • Ensure integration solutions align with strategic architecture principles and several defined strategies
  • Work in multi-vendor environment to provide design assurance service, providing comprehensive reviews to cover areas such as compliances, security, NFR etc as part of integration design & delivery assurance
  • Identify / communicate any design deviations from standards and work with partners to create option papers and take up with different design authorities for approvals
  • Work with the suppliers to ensure integrated plans are created and dependencies are documented, understood and migration actions are identified
  • Ensure any major dependencies, especially cross supplier is projected and streamlined early in cycle to prevent major schedule variances
  • Provide early visibility for any potential issues, related to any integration phase, supplier, 3rd party or any other involved party for reducing impacts and bringing right mitigations
  • Provide overall Integration IT Assurance by seeking relevant information and questions from suppliers, while also collaborating with other stakeholders for relevant information
  • Own the Risk and Issues log for respective Integration assurance area – requires coordination with the suppliers to ensure the risks and issues being captured and/or flagged appropriately
  • Seek timely intervention from relevant stakeholders to ensure risks are mitigated and issues are resolved to avoid impact to cost, timelines, or quality
  • Determine process improvements, best practices, and identify opportunities for more, as applicable
  • Periodic Integration design delivery reports & reviews with partners for design/delivery service
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders in a collaborative spirit to avoid any conflicts
  • Work with the concerned parties to resolve the conflicts with timely agreements and resolutions
  • Lead by example by taking ownership, being proactive, and collaborating.

How do you qualify?

You MUST have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship for this role - we are not in a position to sponsor VISA applications (or transfers). In order to commence a role with Capgemini UK plc you will be required to provide documentary proof prior to joining the Company that you are entitled to live and work in the UK. Examples of valid right to work in the UK are: British or Irish Citizenship, Settled, PSW, Dependent VISA status.



Mandatory Experience

  • Proven experience working as Integration Designer Lead / Integration Technical Lead / Module Lead Essential Technical Knowledge and Skills
  • 10+ years of experience, covering knowledge of designing complex integrations as technical expert
  • Experience working with programs delivering all organisational layers, front end, middle layer, back end, data, infrastructure, deployment etc and how integration delivered the key objectives
  • Experience with mid to large-scale projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor changes delivery organisations
  • Experience with cloud-based implementations, modern engineering practices and technologies
  • Experience or knowledge of distributed service designs, relational databases, APIs and micro-services architecture
  • Knowledge of enterprise security standards such as mutual authentication and OAuth and OIDC would be beneficial
  • Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
  • Building and maintaining IT and design repositories
  • Problem solving, analytical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Project management methodology knowledge of agile, waterfall and iterative
  • Must have hands on experience with IBM CP4I (Cloud Pack for Integration)
  • Experience working with several supporting tools like SoapUI, Postman, Insomnia, Swagger, Jmeter, Junit, Ready API, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven etc
  • Experience with one or more cloud-based dashboards (AWS/Azure/GCP) & logging/ monitoring/ reporting tools like Datadog, AppDynamics, Dynatrace etc

Beneficial Experience

  • Previous experience in the Finance- or Insurance industry
  • Experience with both on-premises and cloud solutions
  • Previous consultancy experience
  • Event-Based Messaging design- & build (Kafka or similar)
  • Data modelling and database design
  • Experience with designing- & building APIs
